NOTE:
- Vehicles for hot countries are equipped with a coolant run-on pump which is actuated by the engine control module.
- In the case of non-hot country vehicles, the hot-country function must be deactivated after installation of a new control module, as otherwise a fault memory entry is made.
Procedure
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051. Refer to Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051, connecting and select functions and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Ignition must be switched on.
Display on VAS5051:
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "11 - Coding II".
Display on VAS5051:
1 - Enter code word
Deactivating hot-country function
- Enter "50000" for "deactivate hot-country function" in zone -2- and confirm by pressing -Q- button.
Activating hot-country function
- Enter "60000" for "activate hot-country function" in zone -2- and confirm by pressing -Q- button.
- Exit function "11 - Login, or function 11 - Coding II" by pressing ← button.
Display on VAS5051:
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".
Display on VAS5051:
1 - Enter display group
- Press buttons -1-, -3-, and -2- for "display group number 132" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.
Display on VAS5051:
- Check indication in display field -4-.
