CONDITION
While scrolling through the CD function by pressing the CD button multiple times on the generation 2+ radio Chorus/Concert/Symphony, the message AUX EXT. SOURCE (auxiliary external source) appears in the display (Fig 1).
Although the message appears, the function is not available.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
The auxiliary external source function has been developed for future applications. However, the radio was inadvertently coded to display this function.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
Correct coding of the radio.
SERVICE
- Code the radio, address word 56, via Guided Functions or Guided Fault Finding using the VAS 505X scan tool.
- During the coding process, the system will ask Is an external audio source connected to the analog input (AUX) of Radio? Select No.
