Transmission, Securing To Engine/Transmission Holder
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Holding Plate VW 309
- Holding Fixture VW 313
- Transmission Support VW 353
- Holding Fixture VW 540
Attach Transmission Horizontally
-- Secure transmission on the VW 540 -arrows- and place in the VW 313 or the VAS 6095.
-- Use the shop crane VAS 6100 for installation. Refer to TRANSMISSION, TRANSPORTING .
Center of gravity of transmission is outside center of rotation at holding fixture. To prevent back swing, a second technician must hold transmission housing when rotating the transmission on the transmission support.
