- DTC P2004 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open, Bank 1)
- DTC P2005 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open, Bank 2)
- DTC P2006 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed, Bank 1)
- DTC P2007 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed, Bank 2)
- DTC P2015 (Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance, Bank 1)
- DTC P2020 (Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance, Bank 2)
- Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling.
Technical Background
The V157 Intake Flap Motor linkage may not travel far enough. The position sensor reads incorrect voltage readings, triggering the MIL illumination.
Production Solution
V157 Intake Flap Motor has been improved at the vendor.
Service
Check service history to make sure the improved part has not already been installed.
- If the improved V157 Intake Flap Motor has already been installed, contact the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for further instructions.
- If the improved part has not already been installed:
- Run the VAS 5051/52 output check on the V157.
- Replace the V157 Intake Flap Motor (lower) with the improved part.
- Verify smooth operation of the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor G336 and Intake Manifold Position Sensor G512 arms.
- After installing the V157 motor, run the intake manifold runner flap adaption in Guided Functions.
