- This section refers to components of the communication systems available in Europe and not all apply to communication systems used in USA and Canada.
The Microphone Unit (in front roof module) R164 in the Front Interior Light W1 consists of a maximum of three microphones.
As of calendar week 22/04, only two microphones were installed.
For this, one microphone is connected directly to Telephone Transceiver R36. The other microphones are connected to the Digital Sound System Control Module J525.

C - Microphone 1 (black/gray) to Digital Sound System Control Module J525 or Telephone Transceiver R36
D - Microphone 2 (white) to Digital Sound System Control Module J525 (left-side steering only) up to calendar week 21/04
E - Telephone Transceiver R36
F - Digital Sound System Control Module J525
G - Microphone 4 (red) to Digital Sound System Control Module J525 (right-side steering only) up to calendar week 21/04
H - Microphone 3 (blue/green) to Digital Sound System Control Module J525 or Telephone Transceiver R36
