Removing

Observe notes on contact corrosion.

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or " Guided Functions".

- Select the function or path:





- Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove driver storage compartment.

- Release retaining springs - arrows - and remove Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519) - item 1 - down from base mount - 2 -.





Shown with connectors removed in illustration.

- Press the connector clips - 1 - and - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.





- Unplug connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

If the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module ( J519) was replaced, then is must be re-coded.

- Select the function or path:





- Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).

- Install driver storage compartment.
