Disconnecting
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.
- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition off.
- Release cover cap - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.
- Remove the wiring bracket - 3 - upward from the connector station.
• The number of connectors may vary depending on equipment.
- Disconnect seat operating electrical connector - 2 -.
Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.
- Release clip in - direction of arrow - with a small screwdriver and disconnect side airbag electrical connector - 1 -.
- Connect the (VAS 6235) to the side airbag electrical connector on the seat. Refer to => [ Airbag Adapter, Connecting ] Airbag Adapter, Connecting.
• Ensure airbag adapter engages correctly.

• Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.
• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.
The electrical connectors are connected in the following sequence, note the following:
• Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.
Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.
- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.
• If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
