Transmission, Securing To Assembly Stand
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Bracket 30 - 211 A
- Attachment and Holding Rig 3457
- Holding Plate VW 309
- Engine and Transmission Holder VAS 6095
- Shop Crane -Load Cap=700-1200 kg VAS 6100
Procedure
- It is necessary to secure the torque converter with the 30 - 211 A to keep it from falling out.
-- Mount the VW 309 on the 3457.
-- Attach and secure 3457 at mounts on transmission housing.
Screw on 3457 should only be installed by hand in transmission.
If screw is installed with pliers, transmission housing can be damaged.
-- Place the transmission into the VAS 6095 using the VAS 6100.
Vents for the transmission housing and final drive must be closed before turning a filled transmission with oil pan upward on the engine/transmission holder.
