Selector Mechanism Overview
Before working on a running engine, move the selector lever to "P" and push the parking brake button in order to lock the electro-mechanical parking brake.
Before disassembling the selector mechanism, perform check, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING .

- For the selector lever cable on the selector mechanism function unit
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not bend
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE
- In case of damaged rubber boot, selector lever cable must be replaced.
- Lightly lubricate ball socket with Polycarbamide GreaseG 052 142 A2 before installing.
- When installing, make sure rubber sleeve on transmission side is not twisted.
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING

- To remove selector lever cable, move plastic retaining spring at selector mechanism forward slightly and put screws upward, only as far as necessary.

- Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit -Y26-
- Removing and installing, refer to Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit -Y26-
- Clamp
- For securing the selector lever handle to the selector lever

- Selector Lever Boot
- Separating from selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER BOOT, SEPARATING FROM SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE
- Selector Lever Handle

- Trim Ring
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER BOOT, SEPARATING FROM SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
