2005 Audi A6 3.2 TSECTION Telephone System From June 2009

The telephone system consists of the following components:

  • Cell phone preparation in the information electronics control module 1 -J794-

The cell phone preparation does not have a separate control module (telephone transceiver -R36-), but rather all the functions are integrated into the information electronics control module 1 -J794-. The telephone is operated either by the MMI Infotainment or by the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The microphones for the Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -W1- are integrated in the Front Interior Lamp -R164-. On microphone (Left Front Microphone -R140-) is connected directly to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

  • Bluetooth hands-free calling information electronics control module 1 -J794-

The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- is installed with the Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -R164- and is part of the hands-free setup. Bluetooth connect the Cell Phone -R54-.

The Bluetooth Antenna -R152- is integrated in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

Fault finding is performed via"Guided Fault Finding"Β  Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Notes on Bluetooth technology

A standardized radio connection system is used to transmit data between Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and Cellular Telephone -R54- - Bluetooth Technology.

An additional transmitter/receiver unit is installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. A separate Bluetooth antenna -R152- connects the information electronics control module 1 -J794- and cellular telephone -R54-.

The range of the radio wave connection is approximately 10 meters.
