- Seal tailpipe, e.g. with cloth or plug, for duration of leak test.
- Listen for leaks at the following connections: cylinder head/exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold/turbocharger, turbocharger/catalytic converter etc.
- Repair detected leaks.
