Coolant pump, removing and installing
2004 Audi A8SECTION Coolant pump, removing and installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Drip tray for workshop crane VAS 6208
- Hose clamp pliers V.A.G 1921
- Spring-type clip pliers V.A.S 5024 A
Removing
- Drain coolant → Cooling system, draining and filling .
- Toothed belt, removing → Toothed belt, removing and installing .
- Remove nuts - 2 - for toothed belt guard at left rear.
- Remove bolts - 1 - for coolant pump and remove coolant pump.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
NOTE:
- Replace seals.
- Clean sealing surfaces at cylinder block.
- Install toothed belt (adjust timing) → Toothed belt, removing and installing .
- Fill with coolant.
- Install torque support → Torque support (with torque support valve N382), assembly overview .
