Special tools, testers and auxiliary items requiredÂ
- Support tool 3369
NOTE:
- Before raising the vehicle on a hoist (wheels off the ground), first activate the vehicle jack mode → 43 - Self Leveling Suspension .
Work procedureÂ
For vehicles with auxiliary heaterÂ
- Remove bolts - arrows - for exhaust pipe of parking heater/auxiliary heater on noise insulation.
AllÂ
- Remove front noise insulation - 1Â -.
- Remove front bumper → 63 - BUMPERS .
- Remove bolt - arrow - on left and right.
- Remove bolts - 2Â - on left and right.
- Install M8x90 bolt - 1Â - , e.g. from support tool 3369 on left and right.
- Remove bolts - arrows - and pull lock carrier toward front.
InstallingÂ
Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
NOTE:
- All cable ties which are opened or cut open when removing engine, must be replaced in the same position when installing engine.
- Install lock carrier with attachments → 50 - BODY - FRONT .
- Install front bumper → 63 - BUMPERS .
- Adjust headlights → 94 - LIGHTS, SWITCHES - EXTERIOR .
