2004 Audi A8SECTION Digital Sound System Control Module J525 BANG and OLUFSEN, removing and installing
CAUTION:
- This section refers to components of the communication systems available in Europe and not all apply to communication systems used in USA and Canada.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Fiber Optic Plier Repair Set VAS 6223
- Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9
CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical components.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
Removing
- Open left luggage compartment storage bin.
Digital Sound System Control Module J525 is threaded to bracket only at front.
- Disconnect electrical connection - 2 - on Digital Sound System Control Module J525 - 1 -.
- Remove bolts - arrows - (3 Nm).
- Pull out Digital Sound System Control Module J525 - 1 - at bracket.
- Now disconnect electrical connections - 1 - and - 2 - on Digital Sound System Control Module J525 - 3 -.
- Fit the Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9 - 1 - on to the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.
Installing
- Install in reverse order.
- Make sure that Digital Sound System Control Module J525 engages correctly into retaining springs - arrows - on rear bracket.
