Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

  • Fiber Optic Plier Repair Set VAS 6223
  • Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9
  • If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 to do so.

CAUTION:
  • Switch off all electrical components.
  • Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Removing

  • Disconnect all harness connectors - - on Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface J533 - -.

  • Fit the Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9 - - on to the MOST-Bus connector - -.

  • Unscrew bolts - arrows  - (4 Nm) and remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface J533 - -.

Installing 

  • Install in reverse order.
