2004 Audi A6 BaseSECTION Removing
  • Adjust steering wheel as far out and up as possible.
  • Disconnect battery negative (-) terminal.
  • Remove airbag unit

    See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article in Restraints.

  • Carefully flip airbag unit forward.
  • Carefully disconnect electrical connector -2-. See Fig 1.
  • Remove screws -1- and -3- (1 Nm).
  • Remove switch toward front.
  • Remove switch assembly -4- in direction of -arrow-.
