- Switch ignition off.
- Remove A/C Control Head -E87-. See A/C CONTROL HEAD -E87-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Connect VAG 1598 A test box with VAG 1598/11 adapter cable to connector -C-. See WIRING AND COMPONENT TESTING USING VAG 1598 A TEST BOXΒ .
- Connect VAG 1598/12 adapter cable to connector -D- (use a second VAG 1598 A test box or connect tester directly to VAG 1598/12 using suitable test leads from VAG 1594 A connector test kit, see WIRING AND COMPONENT TESTING USING VAG 1598 A TEST BOXΒ .
