- Discharge refrigerant circuit. See A/C REFRIGERANT SYSTEM (R-134A), DISCHARGINGĀ .
- Remove dust and pollen filter and its bracket. See DUST AND POLLEN FILTER ELEMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLINGĀ .
- Disconnect battery cables and remove battery.
CAUTION:
On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar Ā®, switch-off the emergency (back-up) battery for the Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting the vehicle battery. Switch-on the emergency (back-up) battery after reconnecting the vehicle battery. See EMERGENCY BATTERY, SWITCHING OFF/ON
