Steering angle sensor -G85-, removing and installing: Installing

CAUTION: The steering angle sensor -G85- must be in center position before installing.
  • Mount steering angle sensor until tabs engage.
  • Remove transport protection.
  • A yellow dot must be visible in hole -arrow 1-.
  • The markings -arrows- must align.

    Make sure that center position is adhered to.Β

    The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse sequence:

  • Install airbag unit and steering wheel

    See appropriate Air Bag article in RESTRAINTS.

  • Carry out basic setting of steering angle sensor -G85-.

    See BASIC SETTING (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 04) .
