Output Diagnostic Test Mode (function 03): Notes

NOTE:
  • Start by switching off ignition; re-start V.A.G 1551, if necessary.
  • Output Diagnostic Test Mode can only be performed with vehicle stationary and engine stopped.
  • If Output Diagnostic Test Mode detects a malfunction, locate and correct cause of problem, if necessary.

The following control elements are consecutively actuated in the test:

  • Actuation of hazard warning lights
  • Actuation of interior monitor (actuated even if there is no interior monitor)
  • Actuation of hazard warning lights and interior lighting for checking crash signal
  • Actuation of central locking warning lamp (cannot be seen)
  • Triggering of close central locking function
  • Activation of door lock isolation
  • Actuation of open central locking function
