- Connect VAS5051 tester or VAG1551 scan tool and select address word 03 "Brake Electronics". See VAG1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORDΒ
.NOTE: The following explanations refer to the use of the VAG1551 scan tool. A similar procedure is used for the VAS5051 tester for On Board Diagnostic.
- Advance through program sequence by pressing --> button.
Indicated on display
- Press buttons -0- and -1- to select "Check Control Module Version" 01. Press -Q- button to confirm input.
NOTE:
Refer to the parts catalog for the correct ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104- for the vehicle.
Indicated on display:
- ABS control module Part. No. including control module version
- System designation
- Hardware and software status
