CAUTION!
Before working on the electrical system:
- Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE: Before removing the wiper arms, make sure the windshield wiper motor is in the "park" position.





Removing Wiper Arms
- Remove wiper blades.
- Remove caps from wiper arms.
- Partially remove nuts from wiper arms (do not remove completely).
- Gently lift/twist wiper arms on shafts to loosen.
- Remove wiper arm nuts completely and remove wiper arms from shafts.





Removing And Installing Wiper Motor And Linkage Assembly

Removing
- Remove wiper arms.
- Remove rubber gasket from windshield trim.
- Remove screws -1- and -2- and remove windshield trim from brackets -6-.
- Remove hose connection -5- for washer nozzles -4- and remove windshield trim.
- Remove bolts -2-.
- Remove electrical connection at wiper motor.
- Remove wiper motor/linkage assembly from plenum.

Installing

NOTE: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

- Install complete wiper motor and linkage assembly into plenum and connect electrical connector.
- Tighten bolts -2-.
Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in.lb.)
- Attach washer hose -5-.
- Install windshield trim and fasten with screws -1- and -2-.
- Install rubber gasket at windshield trim.
- Make sure wiper motor is at "park" position and install wiper arms.
- Check "park" position of wiper blades.
