WARNING:
^ Do not re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use.
^ Some fasteners are designed to be used only once, and are unreliable and may fail if used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, Circlips and cotter pins. Always follow the recommendations-replace these fasteners with new parts where indicated, and any other time it is deemed necessary by inspection.
- Do not attempt to check and adjust front wheel alignment without first conducting a preliminary inspection of the front suspension components.
- When checking/adjusting front axle wheel alignment, the following conditions are important and should be adhered to:
1. Front axle wheel alignment should not be checked until vehicle has accumulated approximately 1000-2000 miles and coil springs have properly settled.
2. Vehicle should be at gross vehicle weight or curb load weight when the checking or adjusting procedure is made.
3. Tire pressures should be to specification.
4. Test surface should be level and horizontal.
