Removing And Installing TCM -J217-
Removing
- Switch ignition off.
- Open E-box in right side of plenum by unscrewing 7 bolts (arrows).
- Unclip bolt cover to unscrew bolt in upper right-hand section of illustration.
- Release multi-pin connector lock -2-, then disconnect multi-pin connector from TCM.
- Unscrew bolts (arrows) and remove TCM from E-box.
- Check container for water penetration and reseal if necessary.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
- Check DTC memory of TCM.
Disconnecting multi-pin connector from TCM -J217-
- Switch ignition off and wait approx. 30 sec.
- Push lock in direction of arrow to unlatch connector.
- Disconnect multi-pin connector from top.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
