NOTES:
- If little fuel remains in the fuel tank, less than approx. 12 liters (3 gallons), misfiring and fuel system malfunctions can result. Also, the malfunction "Fuel Level too Low" (SAE P1250/VAG 17658) may be stored in Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory.
- The malfunction "Fuel Level too Low" is always recognized and stored when there are misfiring or fuel system malfunctions.
- As a rule, always eliminate the misfiring and other fuel system malfunctions first.

- Fill fuel tank with at least 20 liters (5-1/2 gallons).
- Check DTC memory and erase.
- Generate readiness code. Readiness Code, Generating
- Road test.
- Check DTC memory. Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

If "Fuel Level too Low" is the only malfunction stored in DTC memory (SAE P1250/VAG 17658).







- Connect VAG 1598/19 test box to ECM harness connector. Connecting VAG 1598/19 Test Box
- Check wiring for short circuit to Ground between ECM/test box socket C8 and instrument cluster.
