Function

Switch -F23-








Switches radiator coolant fan -V7- to stage 2 (terminals 1 and 2 in connector -B-)

Switching pressures:
- Fan stage 2 on (switch closes) 14.3 up to 17.3 bar pressure
- Fan stage 2 off (switch opens) 10.9 up to 15.3 bar pressure
Pressure difference between switching points: 2.0 up to 3.4 bar

Switch -F118-

Switches the compressor off via the A/C control head -E87- in the event of overpressure in refrigerant system (terminals 3 and 4 in connector -B-)

Switching pressures:
- Compressor off (switch opens) 28.2 up to 31.0 bar pressure
- Compressor on (switch closes) 11.5 up to 15.0 bar pressure

Removing and installing
- Remove bumper.







- Separate plug Connection -B-.
- Replace O-ring -A- (7.6 x 1.8 mm).
Tightening torque: 5 Nm (44 in. lb)


NOTES:
- To test the A/C system cooling performance, plug the removed switch back into wiring harness.
- The refrigerant system remains closed due to the Schrader valve.
- Illustration shows switch on Audi A4.
