Shift Mechanism: Installation

NOTE:
Tighten all bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following: Push shift rod on so that securing bolt fits into recess of shift rod.
- Secure shift rod (arrow -A-). See Figure. Secure pivot rod to transmission (arrow -B-).
- Adjust shift linkage. See SHIFT MECHANISMΒ . Install heat shield. Align exhaust system free of stress.
