- Fault may be caused by the following;
- Wheel speed sensor or speed sensor rotor is dirty or damaged.
- Wheel speed sensor not properly installed.
- Excessive wheel bearing play.
- Wheels and/or tires not all same size.
- Perform a visual check on the above items. If inspection is inconclusive, perform steps 7) through 10) of CIRCUIT TESTΒ .
- Check wheel speed sensor function. Using VAG 1551 scan tool, select function 08 - READ MEASURING VALUE BLOCK. Select DISPLAY GROUP 001. Drive vehicle to ensure all wheel speeds are within one km/h difference of each other. Raise and support vehicle. Check wheel speed value while rotating each wheel one at a time.
