Alarm Switch (Trunk) Check
Disconnect battery cable terminals. Disconnect control module 6-pin connector. Connect control module 6-pin connector to Circuit Tester (VAG 1598). Using an ohmmeter, connect Red lead to tester terminal No. 4. Connect Black lead to ground. Close trunk. Continuity should not be present. Open trunk. Continuity should be present. If continuity is as specified, circuits are okay. If continuity is not as specified, repair open circuit or replace trunk switch.
