1996 Audi A4 Base, StandardSECTION System Operation Check

Turn ignition on. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light should come on for 3-4 seconds, then go out. The SRS is not functional for the first 6 seconds. If light remains on, or does not come on at all, a fault exists in system. Repair as necessary.

WARNING: Saab vehicles are equipped with seat belt pre-tensioners. The SRS system controls both air bags and seat belt pre-tensioners.
