On some vehicles, transportation blocks are installed in the front struts. These vehicles can be recognized by the presence of a tag on the mirror (arrow).
- Release pressure on coil springs (e.g. by lifting vehicle using vehicle lift). Follow all safety precautions when lifting vehicle. See AVANT AND SEDAN, LIFTINGΒ .
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the wheels.
- Pull down buffer stop -2-.
- Remove blocks -1- (two blocks in each strut).
- Push buffer stop -2- upward and clip into spring retainer.
