- Fender
- Remove bumper. See FRONT BUMPER or FRONT BUMPER (AUDI RS6) .
- Remove wheelhousing liner. See WHEELHOUSING LINERS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING or WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (AUDI RS6) .
- Remove end plate. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING END PLATE .
- Remove headlights. See LIGHTS, SWITCHES-EXTERIOR - UP TO 2000 or LIGHTS, SWITCHES-EXTERIOR - 2001 AND UP . .
- Disconnect harness connectors for side turn signals.
- Remove bolts -2-, -3-, -4-, -5- and -6-.
- Bolt w/washer assembly
- 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
- Bolt w/washer assembly (2x)
- 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
- Bolt w/washer assembly

NOTE:- As a running change, the bolt w/washer assembly will change from hex-head to Torx (R).
- Bolt w/washer assemblies coated with locking fluid must always be replaced.
