Closed Throttle Position (CTP) Switch

1996 Audi A4 Base, StandardSECTION Closed Throttle Position (CTP) Switch
NOTE: Closed Throttle Position (CTP) switch is located within Throttle Position (TP) sensor. By adjusting CTP switch, TP sensor is automatically adjusted.

Remove throttle body assembly from engine. Loosen 2 TP sensor mounting screws. Turn TP sensor counterclockwise without moving throttle shaft until stop can be felt. See Fig 1 . Tighten 2 TP sensor mounting screws. Reinstall throttle body assembly. Adjust accelerator pedal cable.
