NOTE: DTC 00646 applies only to models with Traction Control System (TCS).
  1. Fault may be caused by the following;
    • Open circuit, short to ground or short to battery voltage in circuits between ABS control module and Engine Control Module (ECM).
    • Faulty ECM.
    • Faulty ABS control module.
  2. Check for open or short in circuits between ABS control module and ECM. If no faults can be located in circuits between ECM and ABS control module, substitute a known good ECM and recheck for symptom and DTC.
