- Fault may be caused by the following;
- Faulty connection or excessive resistance in ground circuit to ABS solenoid valve relay.
- Open circuit, short to ground or short to battery power in circuits between ABS solenoid valve relay and ABS control module.
- Faulty ABS solenoid valve relay.
- Faulty hydraulic unit.
- Check circuits between ABS solenoid valve relay and ABS control module for open circuit, short to ground or short to battery power. Repair if necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
- Test ABS solenoid valve relay and ABS hydraulic unit. Perform steps 11) and 13) of CIRCUIT TESTΒ . Confirm operation by checking measuring value block display field 08 with VAG 1551.
