Engine Speed Sensor:





Correct mounting position of Engine Speed Sensor is needed to insure ECM receives accurate information. The mounting bracket for the Engine Speed Sensor can be moved in the slots. The position of bracket is set at the factory and must not be altered. If the bolts have been inadvertently loosened and the bracket thus moved, it should be reset to the correct position.

IF:

^ Bracket has moved.
^ Engine Speed Sensor has been replaced.
^ Engine Speed Sensor is being replaced.
^ Engine Speed Sensor signal faulty.
^ ECM trouble code indicates Engine Speed Sensor.

Bracket Position Should Be Checked Or Reset.
