- Raise left front wheel off of ground. Read individual measuring values in channel 15. See READ INDIVIDUAL MEASURING VALUES MODE in TESTS W/CODES article. With ignition on, turn left front wheel by hand and observe engine RPM displayed on Scan Tester (VAG 1551).
- If RPM is displayed, RPM sensor is okay. If RPM is not displayed, check for faulty wiring. If wiring is okay, replace PCM. See ELECTRICAL COMPONENT LOCATIONSΒ .
