DTC (ACC)
- Millimeter wave radar visual check
-1. Remove the front bumper .
-2. Check the frame for warpage or damage, and check the installation of the millimeter wave radar and the bracket.
-3. Clean any dirt or debris from the millimeter wave radar unit.
Is the installation and the frame OK?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Go to step 2.
- Front grille installation check
-1. Check the installation of the front grille.
Is the installation OK?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Reinstall the front grille or the front bumper correctly. If damaged, replace it.
- Problem verification
-1. Reinstall the front bumper .
-2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-5. Start the vehicle and test-drive it at 25 mph (40 km/h) for 2 minutes or more with the ACC activated.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
-6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame P2583-97 Dust or Dirt on the Millimeter Wave Radar Is DTC P2583-97 indicated?
YES
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the millimeter wave radar .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
