If DTC P0564-F0 is stored at the same time as DTC U0029-00, troubleshoot DTC U0029-00 first, then recheck for DTC P0564-F0.

- DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then the ON mode.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- ACC combination switch check 1
-1. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-2. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS pressing the MAIN switch, SET/- switch, RES/+ switch, and CANCEL switch of the ACC combination switch.

If any switch parameter changes to ON, replace the ACC combination switch .

- Distance switch check 1
-1. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS pressing the distance switch of ACC combination switch.

NO
Go to step 10.
- ACC combination switch internal circuit check 1
-1. Turn the combination light switch to OFF.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Steering commander switch assembly connector A (16P) -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

- Shorted wire check (CRUISE SW line to power) 1
-1. Reconnect the following connector.
Steering commander switch assembly connector A (16P) -2. Disconnect the following connector.
Gauge control module connector A (32P) -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-5. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Go to step 7.

Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the gauge control module .
- Shorted wire check (CRUISE SW line to power) 2
-1. Turn the combination light switch to OFF.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Steering commander switch assembly connector A (16P) -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

-5. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Repair a short to power in the wire between the ACC combination switch and the cable reel.

-1. Turn the combination light switch to OFF.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Cable reel connector A (20P) -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

The CRUISE SW wire is not shorted to power. Replace the cable reel .
- Distance switch internal circuit check 1
-1. Turn the combination light switch to OFF.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Distance switch 5P connector -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

- Distance switch check 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check the distance switch .
Is the distance switch OK?
YES
Go to step 12.
NO
- Shorted wire check (DISTANCE SW line to power) 1
-1. Reconnect the following connector.
Distance switch 5P connector -2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Go to step 13.
NO

-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Cable reel connector C (20P) -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Repair a short to power in the wire between the distance switch and the cable reel.

-1. Turn the combination light switch to OFF.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Cable reel connector A (20P) -4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Turn the combination light switch to ON.
-6. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Repair a short to power in the wire between the gauge control module and the cable reel.

The DISTANCE SW wires are not shorted to power. Replace the cable reel .
- Shorted wire check (CRUISE SW line) 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Gauge control module connector A (32P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The CRUISE SW wire is not shorted. Go to step 26.
- Shorted wire check (CRUISE SW line) 2
-1. Reconnect the following connector.
Gauge control module connector A (32P) -2. Disconnect the following connector.
Cable reel connector C (20P) -3. On the cable reel side, check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Repair a short to body ground or wires between the ACC combination switch and the cable reel.

Cable reel connector A (20P) -2. On the cable reel side, check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The CRUISE SW wire is not shorted. Go to step 20.

The DISTANCE SW wire is not shorted. Go to step 25.
