DTC C0063-62  : Yaw Rate Sensor Stabilizing Malfunction

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the how to troubleshooting information .

C0063-62 Yaw Rate Sensor Stabilizing Malfunction    

DTC (ACC)

If DTC U0122-00 is stored at the same time as DTC C0063-62, troubleshoot DTC U0122-00 first, then recheck for DTC C0063-62.

U0122-00 Lost Communication With the VSA Modulator-Control Unit    
  1. VSA system DTCs check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.

    Are any VSA DTCs indicated?

    YES 

    Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting .

    NO 

    Go to step 2.

  2. Problem verification

    -1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -3. Start the vehicle and test-drive it 25 mph (40 km/h) or more with the ACC activated.

    NOTE:  Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

    -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    C0063-62 Yaw Rate Sensor Stabilizing Malfunction    

    Is DTC C0063-62 indicated?

    YES 

    The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

  3. ACC unit check (update)

    -1. Update the ACC unit if it does not have the latest software .

    -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -3. Start the vehicle and test-drive it at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more with the ACC activated.

    NOTE:  Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

    -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame
         

    Is DTC C0063-62 indicated?

    YES 

    Check for loose terminals in the ACC unit 20P connector. If the ACC unit was updated and the symptom/indication is still present, replace the ACC unit .

    NO 

    Troubleshooting is complete. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
