Warm Up TWC Removal And Installation (2014 2015 2016 2017): Removal
Front Bank (Bank 2)Β
- Exhaust Pipe A - Remove
- Front WU-TWC Bracket - Loosen
Loosen the front WU-TWC bracket mounting bolt (A), and remove the front WU-TWC bracket mounting bolt (B).
- Engine Cover - Remove
- EGR Pipe - Remove
- Front A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) - Remove
- A/C Condenser Fan Shroud Assembly - Remove
- Front WU-TWC - Remove
1. Remove the spark plug heat insulator (A). 2. Disconnect the No. 5 cylinder ignition coil connector (B), then remove the No. 5 cylinder ignition coil (C).
3. Carefully remove the front WU-TWC (D) assembly.
- WU-TWC Cover - Remove
Remove the WU-TWC covers (A) from the front WU-TWC.
Rear Bank (Bank 1)Β
- Exhaust Pipe A - Remove
- Rear Secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) - Remove
- Rear WU-TWC Bracket - Loosen
Loosen the rear WU-TWC bracket mounting bolt (A), and remove the rear WU-TWC bracket mounting bolt (B).
- CKP Sensor Cover and Bracket - Remove
1. Remove the CKP sensor coverΒ 2. Disconnect the CKP sensor connector (A).
3. Remove the bracket (B).
- Front Strut Brace - Remove
- Engine Cover - Remove
- Left Cabin Wire Harness Connector - Disconnect
Disconnect the left cabin wire harness connectors (A).
- Rear A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) - Remove
- Power Steering Heat Shield - Remove
Remove the power steering heat shield (A).
- Rear WU-TWC - Remove
1. Disconnect the following connectors. - EVAP canister purge valve connector (A)
- Rocker arm oil pressure switch B (Bank 1) connector (B)
- Rocker arm oil control solenoid B (Bank 1) connector (C)
- Rocker arm oil pressure switch A (Bank 1) connector (D)
- Rocker arm oil control solenoid A (Bank 1) connector (E)
- Transmission fluid pressure switch D connector (F)
- Transmission fluid pressure switch A connector (G)
2. Remove the spark plug heat shield (A). 3. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (B), then remove the No. 1 cylinder ignition coil (C) and the No. 2 cylinder ignition coil (D).
4. Remove the bolts (E), then move the harness holder (F) to outside of the vehicle.
5. Carefully remove the rear WU-TWC (G) assembly.
- WU-TWC Cover - Remove
Remove the WU-TWC covers (A) from the front WU-TWC.
