DTC P0564-15 : ACC/LKAS Switch Signal Circuit Open

DTC (IDAS)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for at least 5 seconds.
-5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame P0564-15 ACC/LKAS Switch Signal Circuit Open Is DTC P0564-15 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting . If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 5 V?
YES
The DISTANCE SW wire is not open. Go to step 3.
NO
Go to step 8.
- LKAS/DISTANCE switch internal circuit check
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector No. 2 Test point 2 LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector No. 4 Is there about 5 V?
YES
Replace the LKAS/DISTANCE switch .
NO
Go to step 4.
- Open wire check (CRUISE GND line) 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the steering commander switch 16P connector.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Steering commander switch 16P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the LKAS switch and the ACC combination switch or replace the steering commander switch .
NO
Go to step 5.
- Open wire check (CRUISE GND line) 2
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector C (20P).
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Cable reel connector C (20P) No. 16 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the steering commander switch and the cable reel.
NO
Go to step 6.
- Open wire check (CRUISE GND line) 3
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector A (20P).
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 4 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
NO
Go to step 7.
- Open wire check (CRUISE GND line) 4
-1. Disconnect the following connectors.
Gauge control module connector A (32P) Cable reel connector A (20P) -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Cable reel connector A (20P): disconnected Test point 1 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 30 Test point 2 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 4 Is there continuity?
YES
The CRUISE GND wire is not open. Replace the gauge control module .
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the cable reel.
- Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 2
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the steering commander switch 16P connector.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Steering commander switch 16P connector No. 12 Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 5 V?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the LKAS/DISTANCE switch and the ACC combination switch or replace the steering commander switch .
NO
Go to step 9.
- Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 3
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector C (20P).
Test condition Vehicle ON mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Cable reel connector C (20P) No. 20 Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 5 V?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the steering commander switch and the cable reel.
NO
Go to step 10.
- Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 4
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector A (20P).
Test condition Vehicle ON mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 8 Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 5 V?
YES
NO
Go to step 11.
- Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 5
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Gauge control module connector A (32P) Cable reel connector A (20P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF mode LKAS/DISTANCE switch 5P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 5 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
The DISTANCE SW wire is not open. Replace the gauge control module .
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the cable reel.
