Fuel Tank Unit Disassembly and Reassembly (2013-18): Disassembly
The fuel filter should be replaced whenever the fuel pressure drops below the specified value, after making sure that the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator are OK.
Fuel Pump/Fuel Gauge Sending Unit
- Fuel Tank Unit - Remove
1. Remove the fuel tank unit . - Fuel Pump/Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Remove
1. Remove the fuel level sensor (fuel gauge sending unit) (A) from the fuel tank unit (fuel pump). NOTE: When removing the fuel gauge sending unit, be careful not to bend or twist it excessively.Fuel Pressure Regulator

1. Remove the fuel tank unit . - Fuel Pressure Regulator - Remove
1. Remove the reservoir (A). NOTE: When removing the reservoir, be careful not to bend or twist the fuel gauge sending unit excessively2. Remove the bracket (B)
3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (C) and the backup ring (D).
Fuel Filter
- Fuel Tank Unit - Remove
1. Remove the fuel tank unit . - Fuel Filter - Remove
1. Remove the fuel filter set (A).
