XM Self-Diagnosis
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the XM radio.
When you receive any XM complaint, verify the client concern, then do the XM self-diagnosis to check for any XM error codes. To get the XM error codes, do the following:
1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
2. Make sure the audio unit is on, and select XM1 mode
3. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode
4. Push and hold the preset No. 3 and No. 6 buttons
5. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
6. While holding the buttons for 5 seconds, then release the buttons
7. Press and release preset No. 1 button to read the error code.
8. To end the XM self-diagnosis, turn the audio system off, or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
