Transmission Range Switch Test
1. Do the battery removal procedure Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing Service and Repair.
3. Remove the battery base.
4. Disconnect the transmission range switch connector.
5. Check for continuity between terminals at the transmission range switch connector. There should be continuity between the terminals in the following table for each switch position.

6. If the test results are OK, the transmission range switch test is finished; if there is no continuity between any terminals, check that the transmission range switch installation. If the switch installation is OK, replace the switch Service and Repair.
7. Check the connectors for corrosion, dirt, or oil, and clean or repair if necessary, then connect the connector securely.
8. Install the battery base.
9. Install the air cleaner housing Service and Repair.
10. Do the battery installation procedure Removal and Replacement.
