Shift Lock Solenoid Replacement

2005 Acura TSX AutomaticSECTION Shift Lock Solenoid Replacement
  1. Remove the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL  ).
  2. Release the shift lock solenoid bushing (A) securing the shift lock solenoid, and remove the shift lock solenoid.

  3. Install the shift lock solenoid plunger (B) and the plunger spring (C) in a new shift lock solenoid (D).
  4. Apply silicone grease to the joint of the shift lock solenoid plunger, if necessary.
  5. Install a new shift lock solenoid by aligning the joint of the shift lock solenoid plunger with the tip of the shift lock stop (E).
  6. Install the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION  ).
