2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Removal & Installation
  1. Shift the transmission into the "N" position.
  2. Remove the center console. See CENTER CONSOLEΒ .
  3. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid and park pin switch connectors. See Fig 1.
  4. Shift the transmission into "1" position.
  5. Remove the self-locking nut and shift cable end collar, then remove the shift cable from the shift lever link.
  6. CAUTION: Take care not to bend the shift cable.
  7. Remove shift lever mounting bolts (4).
  8. Remove the shift cable bracket (2) front the shift lever assembly, then remove the shift lever assembly.
  9. Install the shift lever assembly in the reverse order of removal.
