for exploded view of power rack & pinion components. Clean the disassembled parts with a solvent, and dry them with compressed air. Do not dip the rubber parts in a solvent. Always replace the O-rings and rubber seals with new ones before assembly. Apply the recommended power steering fluid to the parts indicated in the assembly procedures. Do not allow dust, dirt, or other foreign materials to enter the power steering system.
- Coat the housing seal with power steering fluid, and install it in the groove of the valve housing. Then install the valve body. Install the valve springs. Coat the pressure control valve and assist control valve with power steering fluid, then install them into the valve body.
- Coat the cap seal with power steering fluid, and install it in the groove of the cap. Install the cap on the valve body.
