The power steering system is rack and pinion type. Power assist is high at low vehicle speeds and low at high vehicle speeds. The system consists of a power rack and pinion steering gear, a speed sensor, steering pump, fluid filter/reservoir, and cooler lines and hoses. See Fig 1 for component locations.
