SERVICE INFORMATION

NOTE: This article is for you die-hard service techs who are still using the PGM Tester. Although American Honda no longer supports this tool, we thought we'd pass this info along to you anyway.

If the PGM Tester tries to read a code that's not defined in its software, you'll see DTC P9999 or B1999 on the display screen. To fix this problem, guess what? You've got to connect the HDS and clear the code! Oh well, just another reason to give the PGM Tester a well-earned rest and make the HDS your troublehooting buddy.
